Lisa Ashe is a Secondary Mathematics Consultant with the NC Department of Public Instruction. She has more than 25 years of experience in education. She holds a BA in Mathematics, an MEd in Curriculum and Supervision, and is currently pursuing her doctorate in Educational Leadership at the UNC at Chapel Hill. Her research interest and passions include access to high quality learning experiences and resources for all students. Since joining ASSM, Lisa has expanded her learning by examining mathematics education with a lens for equity. Her work with the Access & Equity Special Interest Groups has been a source of professional growth and endearing human connections.
