Lisa Ashe is a Secondary Mathematics Consultant with the NC Department of Public Instruction. She has more than 25 years of experience in education. She holds a BA in Mathematics, an MEd in Curriculum and Supervision, and is currently pursuing her doctorate in Educational Leadership at the UNC at Chapel Hill. Her research interest and passions include access to high quality learning experiences and resources for all students. Since joining ASSM, Lisa has expanded her leadership by leading a special interest group, serving on the program committee, and serving on the Executive Board as the VP of Leadership and President. Additionally, Lisa serves on the National Assessment Governing Board, the body established by Congress to administer the National Assessment for Educational Progress (NAEP), commonly known as the Nation's Report Card.
